TE4 is a heavy-duty, aluminium stair edging (nosing) featuring Stairtile slip-resistant inserts.
It is a kinked face profile with an 8mm gauge, and can either be set into the substrate in-situ or can be butt jointed to an existing floor finish.
It is ideal for use in interior and exterior areas such as railway stations, car parks, airports and the petrochemical industry.
The inserts are Stairtile and can be selected from four colours: Black (LRV 3.70), Brown (LRV 8.99), White (LRV 58.38) and Yellow (LRV 44.92).
The front insert should always be selected in a contrasting colour to the remaining inserts to ensure definition of the step edge. The remaining inserts must always be of the same colour and ideally match the surrounding floorcovering (as shown in the drawing above). There should always be a 30 point difference on the LRV (Light Reflectance Value) scale between the colour of the front insert and the remaining inserts in order to meet the guidelines in Approved Document M (ADM) of The Building Regulations 2000 and BS8300:2009+A1:2010.
